Same $4,000 Gold, Completely Different Mood | Lobo Tiggre
Lobo Tiggre sold most of his gold and silver stocks early this year and was sitting on more cash this summer than at any point in his career. Now the editor of The Independent Speculator is buying again, and it isn’t gold stocks. He says “the most compelling opportunity is hands down uranium.”
At the New Orleans Investment Conference, Tiggre tells Kitco News anchor Jeremy Szafron that uranium stocks are trading as though the metal had collapsed, while the long-term contract price, which he calls the real market, keeps rising. He traces the selloff to investors who bought uranium as an AI trade and to tax-loss selling that started early, and he sees it as a gift. Either he’s missing something, he says, or “the market is making a mistake.”
Gold stocks aren’t on his buy list yet, but when they are, he plans to lean heavy into silver, which he expects to rebound harder than gold. He also explains how the opposite swings in oil and copper could hand him his next entry, and which plain questions can expose a weak company on the conference floor.
